About ffs.cx

ffs.cx (Privacy ffs) is maintained by a single privacy enthusiast who believes everyone deserves honest information about protecting their digital life. I'm not a security researcher or professional auditor. I'm just a regular person who got has become very passionate about privacy and helping people navigate it.

ffs.cx was created out of frustration with the privacy tool review landscape. Almost all "best VPN" or "most secure email" article seemed to be funded by affiliate commissions and recommending whatever pays the highest kickback rather than what's actually best for users.

I don't accept affiliate payments, sponsorships, or advertising. My recommendations are based solely on:

  • Independent security audits and transparency reports
  • Privacy policies and actual jurisdiction laws
  • Technical implementation and cryptographic standards
  • Track record and demonstrated commitment to privacy

Privacy commitment

  • I never share your contact information with third parties
  • I don't use tracking pixels or analytics in my emails or on the website
  • I prefer encrypted communication methods (Signal, PGP email)
  • I delete all correspondence when no longer needed
  • I never add you to mailing lists without explicit consent

Principles:

  • Independence: No affiliate links, no sponsored content, no conflicts of interest
  • Transparency: I cite sources, acknowledge limitations, and update when I'm wrong
  • Honesty: I don't overpromise or use fear tactics to sell you things
  • Accessibility: Privacy tools should be understandable and usable by everyone
